Deuteron LE 151 is designed to be used as an antistatic agent for polyurethane compounds based on polyester and polyether. These compounds are used in the shoe industry to produce soles with antistatic properties. Deuteron LE 151 is preferred in systems which already contain MEG as a cross-linking component.

Dosage

A reliable suggestion cannot be given here. The exact dosage depends on the formulation, the density of the foam and the required electrical resistance of the final product. An addition of 2,5% calculated on the total composition will reduce the electrical resistance sufficiently in most applications. The hydroxyl value of Deuteron LE 151 has to be considered to ensure optimal cross-linking. Further decrease in resistance will be obtained when a higher dosage Deuteron LE 151 is used. In this case it should be taken into consideration that the physical properties of the final product can change. The exact dosage should be determined by own trials

Processing

Deuteron LE 151 can be added easily to the compound in its delivery form at room temperature and below. The product does not need to be warmed up.
