Deuteron ND 210 is a wetting agent with a cationic effect. Deuteron MM 682 is suited for all common coil-coating systems. This includes its utilization in conventional high-quality stove enamels. In addition, Deuteron MM 682 can be used in a variety of applications, preferably in pigmented paints and lacquers.The matting effect induced with Deuteron MM 682 is highly resistant to mechanical influences („polishing“ or abrasion).Deuteron MM 682 does not contain any wax additives, thus coating layers equipped with it are not expected to cause any adhesion problems in multi-layer systems or repair coatings. back

Deuteron SO 510 is a fine dispersion of an elastomer. It imparts coatings with a “soft touch” surface, even if the binder is not an especially soft or elastic type. At the same time it acts as a matting agent. The effect depends on the dosage and the system’s other components, particularly the binder. Deuteron SO 510 is resistant against solvents which are customary in the paint industry.The small particle size makes the product suitable for thin-film applications. Deuteron SO 510 contains no waxes and thus does not negatively affect the recoatability. back

Deuteron LE 151 is designed to be used as an antistatic agent for polyurethane compounds based on polyester and polyether. These compounds are used in the shoe industry to produce soles with antistatic properties. Deuteron LE 151 is preferred in systems which already contain MEG as a cross-linking component.Deuteron LE 151 is of high polarity and therefore reduces the electrical resistance of polyurethane-foams considerably – even when using small quantities. back

Deuteron ES 222 is a surface active additive. Its presence in a mixture of unsaturated polyester resin/reactive-solvent (styrene) helps in re­moving air-bubbles. This applies in particular after mixing resin and curing agent. Technologically useful is the improved wetting of the substrate, thus making it easier to release air bubbles from the substrate’s surface.Because of the above mentioned properties Deuteron ES 222 is an effective wetting and air release agent in particular for laminating resins based on unsaturated polyester. The product is very suitable in laminating resins where excellent adhesion of polyester resins and glass fiber is required. Deuteron ES 222 is also very suitable as an air release agent in other systems based on unsaturated polyester resins. back

In aqueous systems, such as emulsion paints and plasters, the use of Deuteron XG prevents a deposition of the pigments and extenders as well as a separation of the liquid phase during storage. The applicability of the paints is improved. Deuteron XG is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry.Deuteron XG is insoluble in most organic liquids. The product is fully soluble in water and mixtures of organic liquids with a water proportion of at least 60 %. Pre-wetting of Deuteron XG with glycols at a ratio of 1 : 1 accelerates the swelling- and dissolution process. Aqueous solutions of Deuteron XG show a high pseudoplasticity. High rate of shear lowers the viscosity. Reducing the shear rate increases viscosity again. Solutions of Deuteron XG are stable regarding the pH-value and temperature. There is almost no change in stability from pH 2 – 12. The temperature hardly has any influence on the viscosity of a preparation with Deuteron XG.Application All aqueous systems, such as dispersion paints (emulsion paints) and adhesives, emulsion plasters, aqueous insulating primers, glues, slurries, water soluble lacquers and printing inks. back

It produces a continuous uniform paraffin film in water dilutable systems.Deuterol Paraffindispersion has been designed to be used in water dilutable polyester systems for coating of wood surfaces.It can also be used in other water dilutable systems. Deuteron ST texturing agents can be used in both solvent-based and water-based coating systems. Potential applications include coil-coating systems and coatings for plastic surfaces. Deuteron ST-x can be used to customize the haptical and optical surface properties. They can also be used as a functional additive to reduce the coefficient of sliding friction.Deuteron ST texturing agents are powders. They give coatings a surface texture. The nature and degree of texturing depends on the applied film thickness and the ratio of texturing agent to binder.The texturing agents have different particle size distributions. The coarser grade induces more intense texturing with good maintenance of gloss. The finer grade gives finer texturing. Depending on the specific formulation this can lead to a reduction in the degree of gloss. The coarser fractions are responsible for the texturing, whilst the finer particles can lead to matting. back

Deuteron OG 8612 is based on polymethyl urea resin as an effective substance. The resin shows excellent hardness and abrasion resistance. It is resistant to most customary solvents and shows a good resistance to temperatures of up to 200 °C. When used as an additive in solvent based paint systems, Deuteron OG 8612 improves properties regarding slip and static friction and provides increased mechanical resistance. Compared with wax-based additives, Deuteron OG 8612 does not spoil the recoatability. The small particle size allows for its use in coating-systems which are applied in low film thickness. Deuteron OG 861x can reduce the gloss when used as a surface additive. This can be desired for certain applications. The gloss reduction is dependant on the type of employed binder, the applied film thickness and the selected dosage.Deuteron OG 8612 is recommended for use in solvent based coatings which are applied in low film thickness, e.g. can-coatings. Due to the good weather resistance and color fastness of the used polymer the product can also be used in coating systems for exterior applications. This additive is the alternative to wax dispersions with their well-known typical side-effects. back
