DL® Oxy-Gen Boost provides vital oxygen to the skin for reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, increase elasticity giving skin a smooth tone and texture. Perfluorodecalin (C10F18) is a fluorocarbon, a derivative of decalin in which all of the hydrogen atoms are replaced by fluorine atoms. It is chemically and biologically inert, and stable up to 400°C. Several applications make use of its ability to dissolve gasses including cosmetic, cosmeceutical and medical (wound healing).

Functions
  • Easily to incorporate into a wide variety of emulsions. Add at the end of the formulation process, when the temperature has dropped to ambient. Not soluble in water or oil phase; sets up as a third phase. Inert, no incompatibilities known.
  • DL® Oxy-Gen Boost is both hydrophobic and lipophobic. It is soluble only in fluorinated solvents and is easily identifiable in emulsions as it forms a third phase separate from oil and water networks. Studies have shown applications utilizing DL® Oxy-Gen Boost at levels of 10% have significantly reduced appearance of wrinkles and fine lines within 21 days.
