Applications & Uses

Application Method
Uses
  • The product can also be used as a textured coating, e.g. on machinery, office equipment and laboratory equipment.
  • In addition, the product should be used as a primer in case of increased adhesion requirements to the substrate to be coated.
Drying

At 20°C / 60% Rel. Humidity:

  • The material is ready for processing.
  • Low temperatures and/or poor ventilation can have a negative effect on drying.
Coverage

10 m²/L

Application Method

Brushing, rolling, spraying

Cleaning Tool

Thinner or white spirit

Substrate Preparation
  • Components - powder-coated oil, grease and other separating agents must be removed from the substrate prior to application of the coating and sanded thoroughly with fine sandpaper (e.g. 320 grit) without sanding through.
  • Then the grinding dust must be carefully removed.
  • When coating powder-coated components, the manufacturer's information or the information in the BFS data sheet no. 24 must be observed.
Notes on Coating Build-up

Components - powder coated before coating, a test coat with subsequent adhesion test (cross-cut) according to DIN EN ISO 2409 must be carried out.

Instructions for Processing
  • The product must be stirred carefully before use.
  • The substrates must be free of dirt, separating substances, dry and stable.
  • Please always observe the guidelines of the BFS (Federal Committee for Paint and Property Protection, Frankfurt am Main).
  • When coating optically connected surfaces, make sure that the batches are the same and/or mix the total amount required with each other.
  • In the event of contact with products containing plasticizers (door and window seals, etc.), the harmlessness of the sealing profile manufacturer must be obtained or a test coat is necessary.
  • Timely care and renovation work are necessary for the durability of the coated surfaces.
