DOWSIL 8500 Conditioning Agent has demonstrated superior conditioning effects on hair due to its unique chemical structure. This unique chemical structure allows for the combined benefits of a hydrophobic material with the ease of formulation with no additional solubilizers.

DOWSIL 8500 Conditioning Agent has an excellent compatibility with cyclopentasiloxane and isododecane, and partial compatibility with ethanol, making it an excellent candidate for anhydrous systems such as fixatives and leave-in products.

DOWSIL 8500 Conditioning Agent is also easy to formulate in hydrous systems such as rinse-off conditioners and can be added at the beginning or at the end of the process. When DOWSIL 8500 Conditioning Agent is exposed to temperatures below 20°C (68°F) the product will freeze and form white solid particles and eventually solidify. This is a reversible phenomenon and should not affect product performance. It can be melted by heating above 25°C (77°F).
