Recommended Applications: A resin modifier that can be used with hair fixative products such as hairsprays, mousses, setting lotions and styling gels.

Resins used with XIAMETER™ OFX-5220 Fluid demonstrate improved hold when compared to resins without the resin modifier, making it ideal for formulating super holding products. Additionally, the silicone plasticizes the resin making it useful in any fixative product. Usage levels for this product range from 0.1 to 1.0%.

For a typical hair fixative, start with 10 to 30% of resin modifier based on resin solids.

XIAMETER OFX-5220 Fluid is readily compatible with ethanol and water, therefore easily incorporated into any type of fixative product.

Use of XIAMETER OFX-5220 Fluid plasticizes resins making the resin film softer, more flexible, less tacky and easily removable without flaking.
