- Mechanism of Action
- Facultative pathogenic microorganisms are also present in the intestinal flora of healthy poultry in very small numbers (0.01% of the total microflora Lee 2002). As a result of the combined beneficial effect of external (housing, feeding, stress) and internal (age, increased specific yield, weakening of the immune system) predisposing factors, the increase in the proportion of these facultative pathogenic microorganisms within the intestinal flora and their accompanying increased toxin production (enterotoxaemia) causes digestive diseases can occur (e.g.: infectious necrotic enteritis of chickens caused by Colostridium perfringens A and C ) .
- The herbal ingredients of HERBANOPLEX CP keep the intestinal flora in a natural balance, and at the same time nourish the intestinal epithelium, thereby helping the more efficient absorption of nutrients, and thanks to their immunostimulating effect, they improve the body's resistance.
- Predisposing Factors
Factors leading to the disruption of the healthy balance of the intestinal flora:
- Inappropriate husbandry technology and treatment:
- High installation density,
- Poor hygiene conditions,
- Multiplied specific yield increase,
- Feeding not suitable for genetic ability:
- Lack of fiber,
- Excessive intake of large amounts of easily digestible carbohydrates (starch),
- High protein level of feed (protein overfeeding),
- Toxin load,
- Weakened immune system,
- Ineffective protection against coccidiosis,
- Lack of restoration of disturbed intestinal flora.
The effects of stress resulting from the deficiencies that occur during poultry fattening contribute to the imbalance of the intestinal flora of the digestive tract, as a result of which facultative pathogenic microorganisms gain space and digestive diseases can develop. Necrotic enteritis of chickens caused by Clostridium perfringens A and C is a particularly damaging form.
- Advantages
- Broilers grow up with a healthy balanced intestinal flora,
- The number of pre- and probiotic treatments can be reduced, so the production cost is also reduced,
- Production indicators improve:
- The animals' sense of comfort improves,
- Specific yield increase improves,
- Specific feed sales are improving,
- The ammonia concentration of the air in the barn is reduced,
- Litter quality improves,
- Mortality is reduced,
- The ability to produce results increases.
