Melinex® 238 FI 13020 was specially designed for use in electric motors with special chemical stress as slot insulation, phase insulation and Cover slide developed. Due to its lower oligomer extraction, it is particularly suitable for use in hermetic motors that are exposed to refrigerant.
- Characteristics
According to the UL classification, Melinex® 238 FI 13020 has a relevant
temperature index of 140°C, a mechanical RTI of 130°C and has a
excellent aging behavior compared to standard polyester films that
have a higher oligomer content. Furthermore, Melinex® 238 FI 13020
high dielectric strength, low change in dielectric values,
special mechanical properties and very good hydrolytic stability
determined. The half-life of the mechanical properties is comparative
doubled.

Melinex® 238 FI 13020 is supplied on rolls (up to approx. 1100 mm), as tapes (from 6 mm wide), Supplied as feathered tapes and as adhesive tapes. Other formats, cuts, Stamped parts or molded parts are made according to customer requirements, e.g. Belly self-adhesive and manufactured on special request.
