Features & Benefits

Mixing

To prepare sprays containing Hot MES, fill the spray tank half full with water, add the proper amount of pesticide, fertilizer or micronutrient as directed by its label and then add Hot MES. Maintain agitation during the entire process. Continue agitation before and during each application to ensure a uniform spray. For tank-mix compatibility concerns, conduct a jar test of the proposed mixture to ensure compatibility of all components. Mix the components in the same ratio as the proposed tank-mix.

Applications & Uses

Application Technique
Use Information

HOT MES is a superior blend of special emulsifiers, surfactants and methylated seed oil, designed to enhance pesticide performance when compared to standard Methylated Seed Oils (MSO) or Crop Oil Concentrates (COC). Use a minimum of 4 to 8 fluid ounces per acre or at 50% of the recommended rate of either standard Methylated Seed Oil or Crop Oil Concentrate.

Hot MES will optimize the performance of many glyphosate tank-mixes. Always read herbicide labels for specific directions on using MOS's.

Direction For Use

Hot MES may be used with products registered for: Agricultural, Industrial, Forestry Site Prep, Municipal, Non-cropland, Utility and Roadside Rights-of-Way, Ornamentals, Turf and other uses. The addition of an adjuvant to some pesticides or tank-mix combinations may cause phytotoxicity to foliage or fruit of susceptible crops. Refer to the label of the tank-mixture partner(s) for any additional use instructions or restrictions. Always follow the most restrictive label. Hot MES may be applied by high or low volume ground, aerial or any type of equipment recommended by pesticide labels. Not for aquatic use.

Note: Care should be exercised when spray containing Hot MES, is applied to new crop varieties or highly inbred crop lines not previously sprayed with this product. It is recommended that a small test area be treated before spraying large areas. Use care when pesticides are more active, such as during periods of hot or humid conditions.

For Basal Bark Applications: Hot MES can be mixed with oil soluble or miscible herbicides and, when allowed by the herbicide label, be used as the sole diluent or carrier. Thinline, streamline, high and low volume basal bark applications can be made with Hot MES and labeled herbicide mixtures. Suggested mixing rates when used as the sole carrier vary from 1% herbicide in 99% of Hot MES to 75% herbicide in 25% of Hot MES depending on herbicide and method of application. For specific dilution rates, consult the herbicide label for the product being used. Typical applications direct these mixtures onto the lower 18 inches of individual brush and tree stems.Methylated seed oils tests by universities and research indicate methylated seed oil improves the performance consistency of herbicides such as Accent®, Ally®, Arrow®, Arsenal®, Autumn Super 51 WDG™, Basis®, Beyond™, Callisto®, Canopy®, Canopy® EX, Carpreno®, Clethodim, Cobra®, Distinct®, Everest®, FirstShot®, Flexstar® GT, Flexstar® GT 3.5, Garlon®, Harmony®, Imitator® Plus, Journey™, Laudis®, LeadOff®, Loyant ®,Lumax®, Osprey®, Poast®, Prefix™, Raptor®, Resolve® DF, Resolve® Q, Resolve® Q (mp), Resolve® SG, Rimfire™, Select™, Sharpen®, Status®, Steadfast®, Synchrony® XP, Verdict™ and other herbicides.
