"Duralar Technologies is a global coating machines company that has created unique new families of advanced ultra-hard metal coatings. These abrasion resistant coatings are comprised of multiple layers that can be configured in different ways to achieve a range of characteristics for different applications. Often compared with DLC coating, the unique new Duralar technology fills a void between technical thin film coatings, hard chrome plating and alternative markets, offering significant new advantages both in performance and price.

Duralar’s special ArmorLube™ is an ultra-hard coating that also provides a clean and dry permanent lubrication — eliminating the need for oils or greases which can attract dust and dirt and cause fouling and jamming. ArmorLube is particularly valuable for the firearms industry, extending the life of parts and maximizing operating performance.

Since Duralar is not a sprayed coating it does not have the problems of line-of-sight application. Instead, it is deposited very smoothly and conformally, even on three-dimensional features like screw threads and complex geometries. Another important Duralar advantage is that it can be applied much more rapidly than hard chrome and many other industrial coatings. And because it is non-toxic and inert, it is very friendly to the environment.

Duralar® WearGuard has a metal component that provides toughness, the diamond component provides exceptional wear resistance, and the combination delivers extraordinary overall performance. These Duralar coatings can be significantly thicker than conventional coatings, and they contain molecular diamond structures within the matrix to create an exceptionally durable material for numerous applications.

Duralar® WearGuard

Duralar® ArmorLube™ coating provides a unique combination of dry lubrication and exceptional hardness. Its carbon content provides a natural graphitic lubricity and an extremely low coefficient of friction. ArmorLube coating is well suited for applications that require a clean, dry, permanent lubrication without oils or greases, which can accumulate dirt and cause fouling.

Duralar® Decotech coating is a hybrid between a decorative coating and a technical performance coating. This hard coating provides a lustrous deep black finish for an esthetically pleasing effect combined with outstanding protection against scratches and corrosion. It can be an ideal solution for a broad range of innovative uses.

Duralar® Sliding Wear Control coatings are specifically designed for use in applications that are subject to adhesive wear from the sliding motion of parts such as in reciprocating pistons and pumps. Many of these applications are found in oil and gas, automotive, and other heavy industries.
