Properties

Dynoadd® F-101 is a polymeric, non-silicone flow and leveling agent. It reduces the surface tension in non-solvent and solvent based coating systems, thus improves substrate wetting. Surface defects like craters, cissing and pinholes are eliminated. Dynoadd® F-101 is more polar than Dynoadd® F-100. Dynoadd® F-101 gives improved protection against surface defects in radcure formulations. The higher polarity contributes to good pigment wetting and improved adhesion in some systems.

Coil coatings 0.1% - 1.0% Automotive/OEM 0.05% - 0.3% Printing Inks 0.1% - 2.0% Radcure coatings 0.05% - 0.5% The additive is compatible with most solvent-borne and non-solvent coating systems independently of lacquer chemistry. However, Dynoadd® F-101 is seen to have an extra advantage in polar lacquer systems due to its polar properties. It may be used in all layers in multi-layered systems.
Method of addition
Addition is usually in the let down stage. Dividing the addition of Dynoadd® F-101 between the pigment dispersion and the let down can improve pigment wetting and hiding power.
