POLISHIELD™ (PSP)

POLISHIELD™ (PSP) is an economical, premium protective finish system, designed to provide excellent stain and abrasion resistance, and a high gloss, reflective surface. It penetrates into the surface matrix and finishes to a clear, hard, stain and abrasive resistant finish. It enhances the mechanical reflectivity and gloss of polished concrete floors and increases resistance to wear from heavy pedestrian traffic. POLISHIELD™ (PSP) maintains the integrity of the polished surface, requiring only routine maintenance, using ECOGUARD cleansers and cleaning pads.

Recommended Uses

POLISHIELD™ (PSP) is primarily engineered for peak performance over polished concrete surfaces exposed to high traffic, and food/oil contamination. It provides excellent protection for supermarkets, terminals, lobbies, showroom floors, restaurants, schools, and malls.

Coverage

Approx. 800 - 1200 square feet per gallon (9.8 - 14.8 square meters/liter), depending on concrete porosity.

Application

Use a low pressure, high volume pump-up sprayer, to apply a light, even coating, and immediately spread to a thin layer over the concrete surface, using a synthetic microfiber applicator. Spread POLISHIELD™ (PSP) in a manner that allows a 10-20% overlap with no missed areas. Continue to spread to ensure saturation into the concrete surface matrix, leaving minimal surface residual. It is imperative to keep a wet edge throughout the application process, and you stop, to do so at a delineation mark, such as an expansion or control joint.

Do not apply POLISHIELD™ (PSP) over itself once dry. It will repel any second application, and result in undesirable topical streaking and possible discoloration.

Once finished, allow to dry for 1-2 hours and burnish with medium hogs hair buffing pad to burn into the surface and harden. For optimum gloss and distinction of image (DOI), allow a minimum of 6-8 hours (overnight is best) prior to burnishing.

Spill Cleanup - Use mild detergent and warm water promptly after the spill and take care to clean the spill before POLISHIELD™ (PSP) is allowed to dry.

Maintenance - Abrasion from pedestrian traffic and routine scuffs and scratches can easily be removed by the daily cleaning and using a high-speed burnisher fitted with a Hogs Hair burnishing pad. Please refer to the ECOGUARD Daily Maintenance Program for complete floor care.
