Recommended Uses
ERS-EcoCrylic Texture can be used on wood siding, trim, shakes, shingles, unglazed brick, stucco, cement and cinder blocks.
Installation
- Surface Preparation: All surfaces must be clean and free of dust, dirt, grease, mildew, soap residue, loose paint, glue size, and any other foreign matter. For best results, the cause of any previous paint failure should be corrected before repainting. New stucco or masonry surfaces should age 30 days before being painted. All repairs, patching, and sanding should be done before ERS-EcoCrylic Primer is applied. Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded to ensure maximum adhesion. One coat of ERS-EcoCrylic Primer is usually sufficient on most surfaces. Two coats may be required over substrates with high bleading oil content.
- Application: Apply without thinning. ERS-EcoCrylic Texture may be applied with an aggregate capable sprayer, brush or roller. Product may be lightly stippled for enhanced texture or design. New unpainted surfaces should receive one coat of ERS-EcoCrylic Primer before being painted, especially over redwood or cedar which contain bleeding oils. In all cases, bare metal must be primed. Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded and primed. Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned, patched, and spot primed as needed, then top coated as indicated for unpainted surfaces. New stucco or masonry surfaces should age 30 days before being painted. Mild chalk on previously painted masonry surfaces should be cleaned and primed with ERS-EcoCrylic Primer; excessive chalk dust should be removed.
- Drying Time: Under good conditions, ERS-EcoCrylic Texture will be tack free in 2 to 4 hours; ready to recoat in 12 to 16 hours; hard in 24 hours.
- Coverage: Excluding spray loss, the coverage should be 50 to 100 sq.ft./gallon depending upon porosity of the substrate.
Application Method Soap and water. Reducer Clean water only if needed.
Reduction Apply without thinning.
