- Product Highlights
Endex 100™ endothermic chemical foaming agent is also a very effective nucleating agent in physical foaming processes. Its free-flowing properties make it easy to feed using conventional metering equipment. It can also be batch blended with pelletized resin using an adhesion promoter, for example, mineral oil at 1.5 oz per 100 pound (or 45 g per 50 kg) of resin.
Endex 100™ liberates carbon dioxide gas in a controlled manner when subjected to thermoplastic processing temperatures, and decomposes endothermically, absorbing heat from the
polymer. This usually results in shorter cycle times in injection molding, or increased extrusion
rates.- Advantages
Endex 100™ has many advantages for the plastics processor, including:
- Fine cell structure
- Shorter cycle times
- Faster extrusion
- Thick, smooth skins in SFM
- Fast degassing
- Fast painting and decorating
- No plate-out on molds
- Beryllium-copper compatible
- G.R.A.S. or FDA sanctioned ingredients.

- Use level
Endex 100™ use levels will vary with the application, but the following guidelines can be used as a starting point. Optimization for each application is recommended:
- Structural foam molding: 0.50%
- Nitrogen foam molding: 0.15 - 0.25 %
- Sink mark elimination: 0.10%
- Extrusion, blow molding: 0.20 - 0.50 %
- Rotational molding: 0.50%
- Nucleation: 0.30 - 0.50 %
