Endex 1010™ is a high efficiency, pelletized concentrate in a thermoplastic polymer carrier. It is designed for use in moisture sensitive engineering plastics, especially POLYCARBONATE and PET. It is intended to be used at high processing temperatures, 205 - 315°C (400 - 600°F).

Functions: Foaming Agent, Processing Aid

Compatible Polymers & Resins: Polycarbonates (PC), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

Endex 1010™ endothermic chemical foaming agent utilizes innovative technology to produce superior quality foamed products. It generates fine, closed-cell foams, which result in moldings and extrusions of high quality.

Endex 1010™ processing aid can be used in injection molding for cycle time reduction, improved polymer flow, improved weld line strength, and to eliminate molded-in stresses, warp
and sinks marks.

Intended Uses

Endex 1010™ is intended for use in a wide variety of processes, including:

  • INJECTION MOLDING: cycle time reduction, sink marks, warp reduction, shrink control.
  • STRUCTURAL FOAM MOLDING (SFM): GAS COUNTER-PRESSURE SFM.
  • NITROGEN (SFM): void reduction, consistent part weights, higher impact strength.
  • GAS ASSIST, GAS INJECTION MOLDING: flow enhancement, sink elimination.
  • EXTRUSION: Sheet, Film, and Profiles.
Use level

Endex 1010™ use levels will vary with the application, but the following guidelines can be used as a starting point. Optimization for each application is recommended:

  • Structural Foam Molding: 2.0 – 3.0%
  • Sink Mark Elimination: 0.3 – 0.5%
  • Nitrogen SFM, Gas Assist-injection: 0.3 – 0.5%
  • Extrusion and Blow Molding: 0.5 – 1.0%
