    • Manufacture of monomeric vinyl chloride (VCM), which is used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
    • It is also used as an intermediate for chlorinated solvents, in paint, varnish and finish removers, as a metal degreaser and as an intermediate in organic synthesis.
