Ethosurf series of reactive emulsifiers are next-generation surfactants designed specifically to overcome the negative properties imparted by free surfactants in the system. These new surfactants have an unsaturated bond which gets attached to the polymer during the polymerization process thereby reducing the free surfactant content in the system. These surfactants offer superior water resistance, better adhesion and a score of other property enhancements to the polymer. Functional emulsions using reactive emulsifiers have widespread use especially in the Paints, Coatings, Inks & Adhesive industry.

Reactive emulsifiers provide the micelles for radical reaction & they are also a kind of monomer that is polymerizable with monomers such as butyl acrylate (BA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA), etc. Therefore, there is no free emulsifier left in the emulsion after polymerization, thereby reducing the drawbacks associated with conventional emulsifiers. Functional emulsions using reactive emulsifiers have widespread use especially in the Paints, Coatings, Inks &Adhesive industry.
The Ethosurf series of surfactants have been specifically designed keeping focus on its reactivity & emulsifying ability.
