- Product Highlights
It is a combination of Caffeoylquinic Acids and Inulin
Caffeoylquinic Acids
- Present in buds and leaves
- Supports normal hepatobiliary function and cardiometabolics health.
- Support better digestion
- Powerful antioxidant
Inulin
- High content in bud and very low in leaves.
- Fiber with prebiotic properties.
- Artichoke's inulin is a very-long- chain fructose polymer.
A Combination Made by Nature
- Evidence suggest that due to the particular molecular structure of artichoke inulin (very-long-chain fructose polymer), could exert a prebiotic effect at lower doses than traditionally used inulins.
- Unlike the ethanol extraction of artichoke leaves, the inulin naturally present in artichoke buds is well preserved thanks to the water extraction.
- An in-vitro study determined that Cynamed® has a good prebiotic effect compared to commonly used prebiotic fiber (FOS). Nutrients 2020, 12(6), 1552; https://doi.org/10.3390/nu12061552
- Artichoke leaf preparations have been traditionally used to support normal hepatobiliary function, better digestion and cardiometabolic health, these benefits are mainly attributed to caffeoylquinic acids, but the presence of inulin in Cynamed enchances the prebiotic activity and holistically complements the health benefits of artichoke preparations.
- GMO-free, allergen-free, BSE-free and non-irradiated
- Euromed has supplied high quality artichoke leaf extracts to pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets for decades
- Features
- Human gut microbiota consists of over 35,000 bacterial strains, encompassing beneficial and pathogenic species; however, the predominance of beneficial microbes ensures our wellbeing.
- Almost 80% of the immune system resides in the gut and our body's natural defenses are closely linked to the microbiota homeostasis, or eubiosis.
- The gut-friendly Mediterranean Diet promotes bacteria known to produce beneficial Short-Chain Fatty Acids (SCFA) by colonic fermentantion of dietary fibers such as inulin ®
- Natural gut enzymatic hydrolysis of inulin forms oligofructose, a non-digestible carbohydrate with prebiotic properties.
- Artichoke's inulin has the highest degree of polymerization known in plants, directly contributing to prebiotic effects and persistence in the colon¹⁰
