Raincoat is a white, acrylic elastomeric waterproof coating that seals, protects, insulates, reflects heat and UV rays, saves energy. Raincoat dries to a tough flexible film that resists yellowing, chalking and mildew.

Application
  • Do not apply if air & surface temperature is below 50°F or if rain or heavy dew is expected within 24 hours.
  • Apply Raincoat by brush, roller or airless spray (2300 PSI and.021 tip).

Coverage

Raincoat will cover up to 100 sq.ft per gallon10.0 mils wet, 6 mils dry

Tinting
May be tinted to light and medium tints with universal colorants.
Thinning
Not recommended, however for spray use, add no more than 1 pint of water per gallon of Raincoat.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces must be dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, loose granules, gravel or peeling paint and all other foreign matter. Rusty metal must be cleaned with a wire brush and primed with a suitable primer before application of this product. Pressure washing entire surface is recommended for best results.

Metal

Remove all loose rust, dirt, grease and salt. Degrease surface if necessary. For Maximum adhesion on clean steel abrade surface with a course sandpaper.

Mildew

Remove before painting by washing with a solution of 1 part liquid bleach and 3 parts water. Apply the solution and scrub thelmildewed area. Allow the solution to remain on the milde wed area for 10 minutes. Rinse thorou 'ly with water and allow the surface to dry prior to painting.Wear protectiveeyewear, waterproof gloves, and protective clothing. Quickly wash off any mixture that comes in contact with your skin. Do not add detergents or ammonia to the bleach water solution.

Warning! Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate dust or fumes that contain lead. Exposure to lead dust or fumes may cause brain damage or other adverse affects, especially in children or pregnant women. Controlling exposure to lead or other hazardous sub stances requires the use of proper protective equipment, such as a properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper containment and cleanup.

Masonry, Concrete, Cement, Block

All new surfaces must be cured ac cording to the supplier's recommendations usually about 30 days. Remove all form release and curing agents. Rough surfaces can be filled to provide a smooth surface. If painting cannot wait 30 days, allow the surface to cure 7 days and prime the surface with (41-600TG Hot Stucco Masonry Primer, 40-500 or 40-540).

Cleanup Information

Clean spills and spatters immediately with soap and wam water. Clean hands and tools immediately after use with soap and warm water. cleaning, flush spray equipment with mineral spirits to prevent rusting of the equipment. After Follow manufacturer's safety recommendations when using mineral sprits.
