A powdered silica gel (silicon dioxide) for use in chromatography, batch extractions and decolorizations. Chromatocel can also be used as a general adsorbent for impurities. Optimized particle size, surface area, pH, and purity make it a particularly useful material for the separation of small molecules, peptides, lipids, alkaloids, and a variety of other compounds.
