TEGOSTAB® B 84519 is a non-hydrolysable polyether polydimethylsiloxane copolymer utilized in the production of rigid polyurethane and/or polyisocyanurate foams. It is soluble and retains its chemical stability in most commonly applied rigid foam polyols and also in masterbatches containing blowing agents, amines, and reactive or non-reactive flame retardants.

Recommended Applications
  • TEGOSTAB® B 84519 is soluble and retains its chemical stability in most commonly applied rigid foam polyols and also in master-batches containing blowing agents, amines and reactive or non-reactive flame retardants.
  • The performance of TEGOSTAB® B 84519 was tested in a variety of formulations as they are common in the production of rigid polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foam, such as formulations for thermal insulating foam, for continuously produced laminated boardstock and for slabstock foam.
  • Furthermore, TEGOSTAB® B 84519 is particularly recommended for formulations which contain pentane(s) as blowing agents.

  • Storage conditions: dry and cool place in factory-packed containers.
  • Solidification point: below 0 °C.
  • Apart from increased viscosity, no further deterioration of the material could be noticed at storage temperatures around 0 °C.
  • However, it is recommended to warm up the material to room temperature before usage.
