The Sylysia product range includes silica without surface treatment, and silicas with different wax treatments. Sylysia can be incorporated easily and is highly efficient in the matting of various coating systems. Coarser Sylysia grades have an additional surface texturing effect and improve the feel of the surface. Sylysia can optimize the printability (contrast development, ink blending) of wood or paper surfaces. Moreover, Sylysia is used in plastic compounds as anti-blocking additive and for the production of light-diffracting films and sheets.

Sylysia may be used in all common binder systems:

Store at low relative humidity in closed bags. Do not store pallets on top of each other. This could compress the material and destroy application properties.
