BURN BARRIER™ No. 3001 Alkyd Primer

BURN BARRIERT™ NO. 3004-A is a fast drying lead free universal industrial metal primer, and an excellent base coat for Fire Retardants, Inc. Fire Retardant coatings. It is an ideal primer for use on all metallic surfaces that will be topcoated with alkyds, vinyls, epoxies, urethanes, chlorinated rubber, and intumescent fire protective coatings. It affords excellent corrosion protection, and can be used as a shop primer. It also can be used as a barrier or tic coat over sound, aged conventional paints, before coating with more resistant type coatings.


BURN BARRIER™ No. 3004A Universal Primer

BURN BARRIER™ 20-20 is a latex (water base) intumescent fire retardant paint, manufactured and tested in accordance with Federal Specification TT-P-001932. This product is designed for use on interior surfaces where it is either necessary or desirous to reduce the surface burning characteristics of the substrate. It dries quickly to a flat matte finish, having the appearance of a conventional flat paint. In the presence of heat or flame, the coating puffs up (intumesces) and forms a thick sponge like cellular foam layer, this foam layer insulates the substrate reducing the penetration of heat, thus retarding the flame spread and prolonging structural collapse.

BURN BARRIER™ NO. 20-20

BURN BARRIER No. 400 Semi-gloss Acrylic is a Class “A” rated, water base, general purpose, fire resistant paint, designed for use on all interior and exterior surfaces, except floors, where maximum durability coupled with fire resistancy is required. No. 400 may be utilized as an overcoat on most intumescent type fire retardant coatings to improve their cleansibility, scrubbability, and overall durability.

BURN BARRIER™ No. 30-30 Semi-gloss Class “A" Fire Retardant Enamel is a non-yellowing interior paint, which is recommended for use as an overcoat in areas where maximum cleansibility, durability, and fire retardancy is required. Burn Barrier™ No. 30-30 was designed as an overcoat for Burn Barrier™ No. 10-10, or it can be used as a fire resistant coating by itself on all noncombustible surfaces, where a Class “A” finish must be maintained. When applied over Burn Barrier™ No. 10-10, the durability of the coating is greatly improved.

BURN BARRIER™ NO. 30-30 Semi-Gloss Enamel

BURN BARRIER™ No. 40-40 is a low-gloss general-purpose latex (water base) coating that is fire rated over non-combustible surfaces, and as an overcoat for BURN BARRIER™ intumescent fire retardant paints. It dries quickly to yield a highly cleansable-scrubbable, water-resistant film that possesses excellent adhesion flexibility, and toughness. No. 40-40 is suitable for application to all interior surfaces (except floors and shelving). It can also be used on exterior masonry surfaces where a highly water-resistant, decorative coating is desired.

BURN BARRIER™ – 10-10 is a solvent-based intumescent fire retardant paint and is manufactured in accordance with Federal Specification TT-P-26C. It is designed for use on interior surfaces. The coating dries quickly to a velvety flat finish, having the appearance of conventional paint. Upon exposure to fire, BURN BARRIER™ – 10-10 puffs up (intumesces), forming a dense cellular foam layer. This foam layer greatly reduces the surface burning characteristics of combustible materials and retards the penetration of heat to metal surfaces.
