FloraDyme® 6500 is a Trimer Acid derived from specific bio-based raw materials. The basic trimer grade is sourced from TOFA, while the high trimer grade is produced from cottonseed oil. The high trimer grade, which boasts approximately 90% trimer content, is particularly advantageous for applications that require both the functional properties of trimer acids and the reactivity found in dimer acid products. FloraDyme® 6500 finds utility in a range of oilfield applications, including drilling muds and corrosion inhibitors. Additionally, it is utilized in various other applications, such as epoxy and polyamide resins, synthetic lubricants, fuel additives, asphalt binders, and other corrosion protection applications.
