"Since 1955 A&A Fratelli Parodi Spa is a leader company in the production of vegetable oils, esters, waxes and butters, vegetable based products that find application in the cosmetic and industrial fields (lubricants, metal-working fluids, plasticizers, natural solvents). Versatility has always been a key feature in determining the company's strength, contributing in the rate of implementation of new ideas, in the development of innovative products and in the deployment of new applications. The company relies on cold-pressing plants for the processing of oily seeds, as well as on esterification reactors and on high-performance physical refining and molecular distillation facilities. A&A Fratelli Parodi Spa is strongly oriented towards the future. New projects, in the name of Green Chemistry, aim at replacing mineral based products, currently employed in several industrial sectors, with vegetable based alternatives. It is the case of the Paryol Biotemproil product, special vegetable oil employed as metal quenching fluid, whose application brings benefits to the workplace salubrity, while ensuring superior performance in the thermal treatment of metallic manufacts. In this regard, the company has been awarded during the Fair Bioenergy, 2013 - Cremona, with the acknowledgment ""best practice for green chemistry."" Another important achievement resides in the industrial production of microalgae. Archimede Ricerche Srl, placed in Camporosso (Imperia, northern Italy), is the first italian company to run an industrial plant for microalgae biomass, to be employed in natural cosmetics (oils, pigments), in aquaculture and as food supplement (nutraceuticals)."
