PERFILLER®-101, Synthetic Aluminum Silicate-Hydroxypropyl Starch-Crystalline Cellulose is prepared by adding ‘Hydroxypropyl Starch’ and Crystalline Cellulose(JP) to the suspension of Synthetic Aluminum Silicate (JP), followed by spray drying. This complies with *JPE(Japanese Pharmaceutical Excipients) standards and is an all-in-one product as filler, binder and disintegrator.

  • Superior in disintegration

When added to 100M Lactose The below graph shows the hardness of tablets and disintegration time when adding 0-30% of PERFILLER®-101 to 100M Lactose and setting the compression force at 7.5, 10, 12.5kN. By adding PERFILLER®-101, the hardness is increased and the disintegration time was shortened by 1 minute, while over 9 minutes was needed without PERFILLER®-101.

PERFILLER®-101 is effective when it is added to powders (eg; ascorbic acid, mannitol) that are hard to form.

Mixing example with acetaminophen

Stable uniformity dispersed powder can be obtained after 3 minutes mixing time under the below conditions by adding 1% of acetaminophen(AAP) and PERFILLER®-101.

Mixing machine : Kotobuki Mixwell V-10 type mixing machine(Tokuju Corporation) Volume, added amount : 22L, 4kg(AAP : PERFILLER®-101 or 200M Lactose = 1:99) Rotating speed : 36 rpm

Example with dried cork tree bark extract Adding PERFILLER®-101 to low fluidity dried cork tree bark extract improves fluidity. This feature facilitates the formulation for powdered medicine and direct compression.
