Fun To Do F1+ Blend

Fun To Do F1+ Blend is the blend especially made for the formlabs Form1 and Form1+ printers. The F1+ Blend is available in four colors: Clear, White, Gray and Black. The F1+ is not only compatible with the machine but also with the Formlabs PreForm software. Just choose the appropriate color and the V01 setting. Then Dial in the layer height. Because of the very high detail of the blend, especially the Black version, astonishing detailed results are achievable at 0.05 and 0.02mm layer height.

Processing Methods: 3D Printing, Digital Light Processing, Stereolithography

    Our Resin Properties
    • All our resins are designed to be ultra fast!

Curing times of 0.5 seconds for 0.02mm layers are easily achieved on standard Dlp printers with an average light source of around 240Watts.
Even on the current LCD/Led printers FunToDo Resins are one of the fastest resins in the market!

    A broad range of reactivity!
The resin have a very broad range of reactivity, it extends from the very short wavelengths of 225nm to the near/visible wavelengths of 415nm. By incorporating a very smart blend of photo initiaters and sensitizers, almost any light source can be used to initiate the polymerization process of our resins. No need to modify your expensive DLP projector! Do you have a laser SLA machine (see our F1+ blends) ? or perhaps a DLP printer with a LED source of illumination? As long as the wavelength is between 225nm and 415nm, it will work, and it will work fast!
Besides the wavelength of the lightsource several other factors are important, so please check out our properties page. If you are in doubt if your specific machine is compatible with our resins, just send us an e-mail

The Fun To Do resins have an ultra low shrinkage!
Where 3.5% is regarded little shrinkage, we have the limited the shrinkage to 0.5%. (shrinkage may vary depending on color or specific blend)
It is basically what you see is what you get. 3.5% seems to be little but if you take an object of 10cm (100mm) 3.5% is 3.5 mm which is nearly half a centimeter! This is huge compared to the 0.5mm the Fun To Do Resins achieve.

A natural resistance to water and most chemicals!
Our resins have a natural resistance against water, in liquid form it is highly hydrofobic. Once fully cured there is hardly any chemical that can disolve our resins. Especially the Industrial blend has a high resistance to chemicals. Cured prints have been withstanding the elements and various chemicals for several years now! User Friendliness makes you want to build more!

When designing the resins we have spent quite some effort in making the resin as user friendly as possible. These efforts have resulted in a series of low odor resins with minimal skin irritation. Resins are chemicals, no toys. Keep away from children and Pets. When handling our resins please see to adequate ventilation, wear gloves and protective eyeware.

Be Safe and Sane and make beautiful prints!

Affordable resins make it possible for you to build more!
By using our affordable resin you can afford to experiment, extend your knowledge about supports, exposure times, material thickness without having to think about the costs of the materials all the time.

    Product Highlights

The F1+ Blend family of resins have been developed from the ground up especially for the Formlabs Form1 and the Form1+. They are compatible with the machines, as well as with the PreForm software. The blends are all of a much lower viscosity than the Formlabs resins, therefore no problems in countries with a colder climate. The F1+ blend family comes in four colors: Clear, White, Gray and Black. those colors correspond with the Preform software colors. So select the color you are using  and choose the V01 version. Then select the layer height 0.02mm - 0.1mm. Since the blends are all high res  especially the (deep) Black version of the F1+, the finest, most detailed results are achieved at the highest resolutions. The White and the Black F1+ have similar properties as the Snow White and the Deep Black from our speciality family of blends. Cleaning and post cure of the prints is similar to the normal procedures for our resins.

Cleaning & Post Cure Of Your Print

There are two ways to deal with post curing and cleaning.

Method one: (quick and dirty method)

    • Print object
    • Clean object with alcohol. Don’t use acetone! Put the object in a jar or something with alcohol, and swirl (shake) till the excess resin has been removed (this takes about two minutes) Use a soft brush (make up brush or something) to clean if necessary. Don’t leave the object in the alcohol!
    • Blow dry the object with compressed air (or by blowing with your mouth)
    • Remove supports if the object is cured enough. (otherwise wait till after the post cure)
    • Put object under UV for post curing.
    • The object is cured when you nail doesn’t leave scratch marks.

Method two: (microscopically fine, post cure method)

    • Print the object
    • Put the object in an ultrasonic cleaning bath with a solution of  demineralised  water and 3% Sonixlab TEK33 (universal cleaning solution for untrasonic, kind of soap) for about 180 seconds is usually enough, if not repeat for a second time. Bath temperature 35C
    • Flush with demineralised water
    • Blow dry object with compressed air.
    • Remove supports if the object is cured enough. (otherwise wait till after the post cure)
    • Put the object under UV for post curing +- 1 hour.
    • Optionally: In the oven at a 60C for about an hour.  Then increase heat to 100 for another hour. Let the object cool down in the oven.

If you choose one of these methods it will be fine!

    Technical Details

The F1+ blends are compatible with our pigments. Depending on the pigments added, you might have to choose a differend color setting in the PreForm software this might take some experimenting. Lighter colors need lighter color settings in the software. Beware, the darker settings in the software makes the machine emit more energy, so don't use the Black setting for a Clear/transparent color
