Applications
  • Galaxy™ 689-MB can be used with other anionic, non-ionic or amphoteric surfactants.
  • However, due to its anionic character, it should not be used with cationic components like cationic surfactants, cationic dyes, etc.
  • Galaxy™ 689-MB is used for a wide range of Home and Personal Care applications including:
    •  In tooth-paste as a foaming agent at concentration 1.5 - 3.0 % of the total weight
    • In bathing bars (transparent soap, syndet and combi-bars), body wash, liquid
    • soap, shower gels, etc. as a surfactant and as a foaming agent
    •  In pharmaceuticals as an emulsifier in ointment preparations, as a disintegration agent
    • in tablets, and as an intermediate in synthesis of erythromycin estolate
    •  In textile auxiliaries as a scouring agent
    • In emulsion polymerization as an emulsifying agent
    • In toilet bowl cleaners and all-purpose cleaners as cleanser

  • Galaxy™ 689-MB is available in 25 kg BOPP bags with HDPE liner. 240 bags palletized i.e. 6 MT or 300 bags non - palletized i.e. 7.5 MT can be shipped in a 20 ft. full container load.
  • It is available in fibre drums. 90 palletized drums i.e. 3.87 MT (43 kg per drum) can be shipped in a 20 ft. full container load.
  • It can be supplied in jumbo bags with wooden crates. 10 palletized jumbo bags i.e. 3.75 MT (375 kg per jumbo bag) can be shipped in 20 ft. full container load.

Storage and Handling Conditions
  • Store the material in a clean, dry place at below 35°C, away from moisture, heat and sunlight.
  • Keep the container tightly closed. In the original sealed condition, when stored as suggested, the shelf life of the product is two years.
  • Slight pH drop is possible over prolonged storage. In case of drop in pH, it is safe to use the material as long as the pH is ≥ 7.5.
  • Soft, easily breakable agglomerates may form on storage.
  • Since the product is hygroscopic in nature, use the product within a week after opening the bag / drum.
  • During storage, to avoid lumping, stack not more than 7 BOPP bags one above the other and single pallet on ground or in rack.
  • During storage, jumbo bags / fibre drums should not be stacked one above the other.
