Typical formulation for final syndet bar using Galaxy™ SN 8182:
- Galaxy™ SN 8182 : 95 parts
- Additives / other ingredients : 2 parts
- Water : 2 parts
- Perfume : 1 part
- Color : As per need
- Total : To 100
Mixing: Galaxy™ SN 8182 noodles are loaded into an amalgamator. A high mixing efficiency should be obtained by sigma mixer or mixer kneader. Add given quantity of special additives or ingredients, water, perfume and color and blend thoroughly in the mixer. The mixing time can vary based on the special ingredients to be mixed. This time is determined experimentally.
Refining: Refining can be done by passing above mass through various line arrangements, such as refiner and roll mill. The refining unit should be provided with cooling water circulation. The temperature of the cooling water can be maintained at room temperature for most of the formulations. However, some specific formulations may need chilled water. The refiner should be fitted with a coarse refining screen and the mass is fed at about 36 - 40°C.
Extruding: When extrusion / finishing lines use duplex vacuum plodders for final refining and air free extrusion of syndet bars, the exit temperatures of the extruded mass leaving the first plodder and the final plodder have to be between 35 - 40°C and 40 - 50°C respectively. The temperature of the body of the first and second plodder should be maintained between 15 - 25°C. The extrusion head temperature has to be kept between 50 - 65°C, depending upon the size and design of the head.
