Typical formulation for final syndet bar using Galaxy™ SN 8245:

  • Galaxy™ SN 8245 : 95 parts
  • Additives / other ingredients : 2 parts
  • Water : 2 parts
  • Perfume : 1 part

Mixing: Charge Galaxy™ SN 8245 granules into sigma mixer and crush it. Add given quantity of special additives and ingredients like water, perfume, color, etc. and blend thoroughly in the sigma mixer. Once mixing is complete unload the sigma mixer and transfer the material for refining

Refining: Pass the blended material through series of simplex refiner and three roll mill for further homogenization. The refiner should have cool water circulation in jacket which is maintained at room temperature and it should be fitted with coarse refining screen

Extruding: Once refining is done, pass the material through duplex vacuum plodder for final air free extrusion to syndet bar or billet which can be further stamped on stamping machine. For smoother extrusion cool water circulation in jackets of plodder is recommended and the extrusion head temperature should be kept between 50 - 65°C depending upon the size and design of the head

Storage & Handling

Storage and Handling Conditions
  • Store the material in a clean and dry place preferably at < 40°C away from direct heat and sunlight.
  • Keep the bags tightly closed. Do not use hooks for handling bags.
  • Do not expose the material to higher temperature for prolonged period.
  • In original sealed bags, when stored as suggested, shelf life of the product is at least one year.
  • Slight pH drop is possible over prolonged storage.
  • In case of drop in pH, it is fairly safe to use the material as long as the pH is ≥ 5.0. Soft, easily breakable agglomerates may be formed at the bottom layer of the bags.
  • Since the material is hygroscopic in nature, use the product within a week after opening the bag.
  • During storage, maximum 8 bags (non-palletized) can be stacked and for palletized, place single pallet on ground or in rack
