Manufacturing Process
  • Use SS 304 / 316 Jacketed Reactor with anchor / paddle / gate type stirrer (low rpm); all fittings, gauges should be of Stainless Steel. Do not use brass or aluminum
  • The reactor to be cleaned thoroughly with steam. It should be odourless before melting Galaxy SN 947
  • Ideally batch size can be 70 - 80% of the reactor capacity to ensure heating coil is dipped completely. Use low pressure steam (< 1 kg / cm2 ) / hot water (80 - 85°C) for melting. Initially charge and melt sufficient amount of Galaxy SN 947 flakes for the stirrer to operate. Then by maintaining temperature between 70 - 75°C, keep adding further quantity of flakes
  • Do not use vigorous mixing to avoid excessive foaming
  • Make 2 - 4 % solution of the selected colour in water. In case of oil soluble colours, make colour solution in perfume / propylene glycol. Generally, 10 - 20 ppm of colour gives desired shade. Mix the mass uniformly. Stop heating and start cooling with ordinary water
  • Moisture content in the final bathing bar shall be in the range of 19.0 to 23.0%. Monitor the same and make up, if required before putting the molten mass into the moulds
  • Maintain temperature in the reactor at 70 - 75°C. Start addition of perfume
  • Stop mixing in the reactor till air bubbles are cleared
  • Pour the material in suitable moulds
  • The product would start solidifying at 60 - 64°C. Finish of the bar would depend on quality of the moulds
  • Ensure that changeover cleaning of the reactor is also perfect

Spill should be contained / collected and disposed off as per the regulations. Avoid ingestion and contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention, if necessary.

Galaxy SN 947 is available in 30 kg HDPE bags with liner. 24 bags are stacked on one pallet. Total of 480 bags i.e. 14.4 MT can be shipped palletized on non - palletized in 20 ft. full container load.

Storage & Handling Information
  • Store the material in a clean and dry place at 20 - 30°C, away from direct heat and sunlight.
  • Keep the bags tightly closed.
  • In original sealed condition, when stored as suggested, shelf life of the product is at least one year.
  • If stored above 30°C, there is possibility of colour deterioration and lumping.
  • During storage, do not stack more than 8 bags (non - palletized) and for palletized, place single pallet on ground or in rack.
