B-CAN® Oat Beta-Glucan being a highly concentrated soluble oat fiber, provides healthy benefits at low application levels, compared to other sources of soluble oat fiber

    Dosage
    • The U.S. FDA suggests that the dosage of oat soluble fiber for a potential hypocholesterolemic effect is approximately 3 grams daily, while the whole oat-containing food must provide at least 0.75 grams of beta-glucan per serving.

    In 2006, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued its final rule allowing health claims to be made on the labels of foods containing soluble fiber from whole oats, stating: “a diet high in soluble fiber from whole oats and low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.” Garuda International’s B-CAN® Oat Beta-Glucan is a concentrated oat soluble fiber, derived from oat bran.
