Cookie Policy

Electrical and Chemical Resistant (ECR) glassflake imparts improved chemical and corrosion resistance properties and was originally formulated for the coatings market. The glass formulation has inherent high resistance to chemical breakdown. All ECR glassflake is made by the spun method, allowing the production of much thinner flake than traditionally possible as well as facilitating excellent control over the thickness of flake produced. The thickness of ECR glassflake ranges from 1 micron to 5 microns and is available in three particle size distributions.

Nanoflake™ is an innovative ultra-thin glassflake delivering outstanding material improvement. It is available in a range of thicknesses from 100nm up to 750nm. By modification of the unique production process Glassflake maintain an accurate control of a flake thickness deviation which is crucial for high specification applications. Nanoflake™ materials are available in a range of discrete thickness ranges, demonstrating accurate control of flake thickness deviation.

E glassflake is produced from electric type glass, specifically formulated for use in polymer and composite applications, sharing a composition with many commercial fibre glass products. The glass has a excellent inherent strength, as well as a high dielectric constant, ideal for insulating applications.

Glassflake’s single specification C-type glassflake fulfils the requirements of numerous applications, with a globally recognised set of morphology specifications. This composition of glassflake aids manufacturers on a global scale in production of accredited glassflake containing formulations at lower cost than with higher specification flakes.
