FASTEX® FBOG320

1 of 10 products in this brand
FASTEX® FBOG320 is a premium, extreme pressure GEAR OIL for Industrial and Marine service. It is formulated from high viscosity index (VI) paraffinic base oils and blended with a Fastex® Surface Modifier. This proprietary Extreme Pressure (EP) & Anti-Wear (AW) package is used to provide very high load and wear protection to the gear sets and bearings against seizure and surface distress. Protects equipment against thermal damage, and corrosion. Proven results for FASTEX® FBOG320 confirm a long service life and dramatically reduced oil change frequencies.

Features & Benefits

Features
  • The Fastex® Surface Modifier protects against metal-to-metal contact.
  • Exceptional shock load protection
  • Quick separation from water to resist forming permanent emulsions
  • Extremely high-level resistance to oxidation and chemical degradation
  • Non-Corrosive to steel and non-ferrous gear set components
  • Resists sludge and varnish formation at high temperatures
  • The exceptional low friction characteristics contribute to reduced energy consumption.
  • Proven performance extends to service and maintenance intervals.
The Fastex® Surface Modifier Technology

It is a complex package of esters combined with a highly refined and modified hydrocarbon-based fluid, specifically formulated to improve Boundary Lubrication. It both significantly reduces friction and improves the anti-wear characteristics of metal surfaces. This modified surface has a much higher shear strength to protect equipment and improve operating performance. It protects against thermal damage traditionally caused by extreme loading pressures, oil film breakdown or lubricant failure by providing low friction and good anti-wear barrier between metal surfaces.

Applications & Uses

Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
Applications
  • FASTEX® FBOG320 has been developed and independently load tested for applications in closed, splash or circulating gear drives where extreme pressure oils are used. Offers premium wear protection and service life to straight and spiral bevel, helical, herringbone, rack & pinion, spur and worm gear sets.
  • Industrial - conveyors, dryers, extruders, mixers, pumps, reducers, presses, agitators, crushers.
  • Marine - main propulsion, deck machinery winches, windlasses, pumps, cranes, elevators, centrifuges and rudder carriers, shaft couplings.
