FASTEX® FGWP2 has been developed for use in general lubrication of ball, roller and tapered roller bearings; plain bearings, linkages and pins, operating under heavy-duty conditions and in particular, where exposure to water, surface moisture and/or condensation can be expected. Typical areas of use are on equipment in such industries as marine, land-based and off-shore drilling facilities, open and underground mining, paper and board mills, logging; forestry, agriculture, transportation, especially tracked vehicles etc.
- Methodology
FASTEX® FGWP2 is applied to conventional ball/roller bearing assemblies in line with the bearing manufacturers recommendations. It can be applied as a service lubricant by a high-pressure grease gun. In addition, it can be applied by hand or brush to open gears and slideways. In the case of pin and bush bearing assemblies, it is recommended that in conjunction with the use of FASTEX® FGWP2 the pin be pre-treated by heating (above 122ºF/50ºC) and treated with neat Fastex® Surface Modifier, by dipping or brushing.
