- TOSOLIN Action Mechanism
Tosolin regulates 2 important cells in de epidermis involved in sun tanning/protection:
1. Direct regulation of the Langerhans cells, responsible for the natural UV protection
- Protection of the skin through antioxidants
- Reduction UV-induced redness
- Protection against DNA-damage
- Protection collagen
- Less wrinkle formation
2. Indirect regulation of melanocytes, responsible for the skin tan
- Through an increased production of &-MSH and ET-1 in skin cells. &-MSH and ET-1 regulate the melanocytes to produce the skin pigment: melanin
- More pigmentation for a better natural sun protection
- More pigmentation for a more attractive tan
