TOSOLIN Action Mechanism

Tosolin regulates 2 important cells in de epidermis involved in sun tanning/protection:

1. Direct regulation of the Langerhans cells, responsible for the natural UV protection

  • Protection of the skin through antioxidants
  • Reduction UV-induced redness
  • Protection against DNA-damage
  • Protection collagen
  • Less wrinkle formation

2. Indirect regulation of melanocytes, responsible for the skin tan

  • Through an increased production of &-MSH and ET-1 in skin cells. &-MSH and ET-1 regulate the melanocytes to produce the skin pigment: melanin
  • More pigmentation for a better natural sun protection
  • More pigmentation for a more attractive tan
