- Elastiflex IQ is a skin elasticity primer powered by natural actives. It helps to rebuild the extracellular matrix by boosting collagen I and Ill, increasing hyaluronic acid and fibronectin synthesis, and diminishing elastin degradation. Additionally, it has a positive effect on natural skin hydration (NMF) and improves moisture retention. This combination of activity results in plump, supple, youthful skin.

The Prebiotics:
- The Foundation of Elastiflex IQ Centella asiatica is a perennial herbaceous plant widely used in traditional medicine as a skin healer (particularly cicatrization). Centella asiatica contains a triterpenic fraction composed of asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid, and madecassic acid, and all of these molecules have been reported to promote collagen synthesis (l and Ill) by activating TGF-6/Smad signaling pathways. Studies have shown that the triterpenic fraction contributes to ECM (extracellular matrix) remodeling by regulating the MMP (matrix metalloproteinases)/TlMP (tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases) balance, as well as upregulating fibronectin synthesis in fibroblasts.
- Boswellia Serrata is traditionally known for its spiritual significance as the plant that produces Frankincense. The soothing resin derived from Boswellia Serrata has been used since ancient times in Ayurveda as a healing remedy for skin. The terpenoid compound, known as boswellic acid, acts by inhibiting the specific enzymes responsible for inflammation and protects the skin against degenerative processes in the extracellular matrix.
- Purple tea leaves are processed and prepared the same way as green tea leaves, and, while both plants contain the same five principal compounds, purple tea contains significantly higher levels of the potent polyphenols (GHG, EGCG, ECG) than green, black, or oolong teas. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), one of the major components in purple tea has been shown to promote skin hydration, as well as, antioxidant and anti-pigmentation properties. Real Time PCR studies show that EGCG upregulates the expression of natural moisturizing factor-related genes, hyaluronic acid synthase (HAS) and filaggrin (FLG), and downregulates hyaluronidase (HYAL).
- Skin aging is induced by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic aging is an inevitable physiological process that results in thin, dry skin, fine wrinkles, and gradual dermal atrophy, while extrinsic aging is engendered by external environment factors such as air pollution, smoking, poor nutrition, and sun exposure, resulting in coarse wrinkles, loss of elasticity, laxity, and rough-textured appearance. There is a general atrophy of the extracellular matrix, which is reflected by a decrease in the number of fibroblasts, reduced levels of collagen and elastin, and deposition of truncated elastic fibers, resulting in an overall disruption of the structural integrity of the skin. The active compounds of Elastiflex IQ work to balance and restore skin elasticity by improving extracellular matrix structure, boosting natural skin moisturization and combating oxidative stress.
