- Feeding Guidelines
Complete hay replacement—feed at a minimum rate of 1.5% of body weight (15 lbs. on a 1000 lb. horse) per day. Supplement to long-stem hay— feed at a rate of ½%-1%_x000b_of body weight ( 5-10 lbs. on a 1,000 lb. horse) per day. Green Meadows Equal Balance™ Forage should be fed at a minimum of 1% to 1.5% of body weight (10 lbs to 15 lbs for a 1000 lb animal) per day. Equal Balance™ can be used as a complete hay replacement. Feed 4 to 6 pounds daily if using as a supplement to conventional baled hay. Feed separately in a feed bin or bucket, or mix with the feed ration to reduce rapid feed consumption (bolting), maximizing feed digestion. Store in a cool dry place.
