Green Meadows Forage TIMOTHY PELLETS is consumed by horses comfortably 2% of their body weight in dry forage per day. This equates to 20 pounds of dry forage per day for a 1,000 pound horse. Green Meadows Forage recommends that you weigh the proper amount and do not feed pelleted or cubed forage as the only source of feed, since feeding some long-stem forage such as hay may help eliminate boredom and prevent stall vices. For horses that aggressively consume feed or have dental problems, we recommend feeding Green Meadows timothy pellets wet, soaked in water for 30 minutes or until properly softened. Never feed moldy or insect infested forage to horses. Always provide free-access to fresh, clean water.
