Flytac 106 - F is a medium hard, pale thermoplastic resin designed primarily as a tackifier for various types of polymer and elastomer-based adhesives. It is a pentaerythritol ester of a rosin that has been stabilized by hydrogenation. In adhesive formulations, it contributes improved resistance to oxidation, greater heat stability, better retention of color, and greater retention of tack-imparting properties than ordinary rosin ester resins. For cosmetic applications such as mascara, the INCI name for Pentalyn H-E is Pentaerythrityl Hydrogenated Rosinate.

Flytac 104 - F is a pale, thermoplastic, acidic resin produced by fully hydrogenating the rosin. Because of this treatment, it is highly resistant to oxidation, discoloration, and changes in solubility characteristics when exposed to air and sunlight.

It can also be used as a surface sizing agent in textiles, because of its good ability to form a membrane on the textile surface. Due to the active -OH and -COOR groups in the chemical structure, it can reduce the surface tension of water solution to a large extent, which in return can be used as a dispersant in PVC suspension polymerization production.
