Gulf Acrylics Industries SAN is a copolymer plastic consisting of styrene and acrylonitrile. It is commonly known as SAN and is widely used in place of polystyrene owing to its greater thermal resistance. The Acrylonitrile content not only improves mechanical properties and chemical resistance, but also adds a blue tint to the normally transparent plastic. SAN sheets combines the formability, dimensional stability, density and bright clear transparency of polystyrene with heat resistance, strength & stiffness of acrylonitrile. These extruded copolymer sheets are highly resistant to water absorption and chemical products.
