Technical Details & Test Data
- Properties
Density 2.04g/cm3 (25 ℃). Melting point 61 ℃. It is soluble in water, diethyl ether, and ethyl alcohol. Pyrophosphoric acid is from phosphoric acid by dehydration. Pyrophosphoric acid is a medium strong inorganic acid, it slowly hydrolyzes in the presence of water into phosphoric acid. The anion, the salts, and the esters of pyrophosphoric acid are called pyrophosphates.
