Applications
  • Recommended addition level (solid calculated on binder solid): 3.0 - 15.0 % Reactive hydroxy acrylic resin intended for crosslinking with isocyanate resins.
  • It has a broad compatibility with similar acrylic resins.
  • Paints based on Domacryl 5199 75 BAc have good balance between hardness and flexibility with excellent mechanical properties and superior outdoor durability.
  • Used for forced drying (60 - 80 °C) or baking (20 min at 130 °C) coatings for metal substrates.
  • In combination with cellulose acetate butyrate can be used for metallic basecoat for car refinish.
  • Suitable for OEM basecoats in combination with melamine resin.

Storage & Handling

Storage
The resin should be stored indoors in its original, unopened and undamaged container in a dry place at storage temperatures below 35 °C, for up to 12 months. Exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided.
