  • Domalkyd 1526 55 W is used in finishes for wood and metal for indoor as well as for outdoor applications. It has excellent weather resistance.
  • In combination with Domalkyd 1482 it is used in air drying automotive repair finishes.

Solubility
  • Insoluble in lower alcohols.
  • Limited solubility in glycol ethers and higher alcohols.
Compatibility
  • Compatible with long and medium oil alkyds.
  • Limited compatibility with chlorinated and cyclized rubber, melamine, urea and colophonium modified maleic and phenolic resins.
  • Incompatible with short oil stove drying alkyds and non-oxidizing alkyds.

Storage & Handling

Storage
The resin should be stored indoors in its original, unopened and undamaged container in a dry place at storage temperatures below 35 °C, for up to 24 months. Exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided.
