Technical Details & Test Data
- Skin-lightening with a newly identified effect to promote melanin discharge
Usually, melanin generated in melanocytes is transferred to keratinocytes in the stratum spinosum, an outer layer of basal cells, and then discharged as keratinized cells by the skin’s turnover. However, basal cells sometimes absorb melanin due to excessive melanin production stimulation caused by UV rays or inflammation and remain in a deep part of the skin. Recently, stagnant melanin has been confirmed to be related to one of the causes of pigment spots*
