Omnirad MBF is a highly efficient, liquid, Type II photoinitiator used to initiate radical polymerization of unsaturated oligomers e.g. acrylates, after exposure to UV light. It forms free radicals through an intramolecular hydrogen abstraction process. The use of amines is not recommended as this may lead to efficiency decrease, stability upon storage issues or stronger odor. It can be used in combination with mono or multi functional monomers as reactive diluents

Chemical Family: Acrylics, Acrylates & Methacrylates

Functions: Photoinitiator

CAS Number: 15206-55-0

End Uses: Other Ink Types, Radiation Curable Adhesive, Radiation Curable Coating, Radiation Curable Ink, Waterborne Adhesive, Waterborne Coating

Synonyms: alpha-Oxobenzeneacetic Acid Methyl Ester, Benzoylformic Acid Methyl Ester, Methyl 2-Oxo-2-Phenylacetate, Methyl Oxophenylacetate, Methyl Phenylglyoxalate, Phenylglyoxylic Acid Methyl Ester
