The broad spectrum of the esterfication range from simple methanol (C1) up to longchain alcohols (18) or alcohol ethoxylates in different compositions. Phosphoric acid esters are used as antistatica, lubricant additives, emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors and flame retardants.

Fatty amines are used as corrosion protection additives as such and as intermediates for the production of corrosion protection agents or polyurea greases. Depending on the chain length ILCO MIN products are at ambient temperature liquid, solid or pasty and have a typical amine type smell. The products are insoluble in water whereas derivatives lie e.g. hydrochlorides, acetates, formiates or ethoxylates (> 5 EO) are soluble in water.

Glutamate and sarcosinate salts are anionic amino acid bases surfactants that are used in cosmetics as mild surfactants with a lower irritation potential compared to other surfactants. Sarcosinates are also available in free acid form. Main application areas in cosmetics are: skin, hair and oral hygiene products, and in addition soap production; further application areas are sunscreens and creams. Besides the application in cosmetics these surfactants are also used in household, I&I and industrial products, e.g. as corrosion inhibitors in lubricants or metal working fluids, as rust preventatives, as fuel additives, as surfactant in various types of cleaners and as textile processing aids.

ILCO PHOS 210 exhibits excellent dispensability for solid particles and can be used in acidic, neutral and alkaline cleaners. It is used as EP additive for metal working fluids and as dispersing agent in pigment preparations. It shows good antistatic and softening action on laundry. ILCO PHOS 210 exhibits excellent emulsifying action for water in chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum spirit. ILCO PHOS 210 is also used in cosmetic formulations

Glutamates and Sarcosinates are used in Cosmetics as mild surfactants. Sarcosinates are available also as free acids. In Cosmetics the main fields of applications are skin, hair and mouth care products, as well as in the soap production.

ILCO PHOS 215 is Multifunctional additive for water-based lubricants providing emulsification, anti-wear, extreme pressure, and corrosion inhibition. Preferred antiwear/emulsifier for water-based metal working lubricants. ILCO PHOS 215 is also used in cosmetic formulations. It acts as O/W emulsifier to promote the formation of intimate mixtures of non-miscible liquids by altering the interfacial tension.

ILCO PHOS 205 can be used in neutral and alkaline cleaners with high cleaning power. It is also found in fiber finishes as antistatic additive.

ILCO PHOS 212 can be used as detergent booster due to its good wetting and dispersing ability. It is also often found in formulations for crop protection and as emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization. In many cases ILCO PHOS 212 is also a good alternative to exchange nonylphenol ethoxylate based phosphate esters.

ILCO PHOS 203 is mainly used as a wetting agent with defoaming ability in alkaline cleaning agents and in surface treatment for the printing and coating industry. Furthermore it is known as a dispersing agent in pigment pastes. In metal pigment pastes the ester acts as corrosion inhibitor. ILCO PHOS 203 is also used as extraction and flotation agents.
