- How Does It Work?
The Aronia plant has high levels of anthocyanins and phenolic compounds, which are over five times greater than those found in cranberries. Its potent compounds have been studied over the years for cardiovascular, circulatory, and immune health. Provides antioxidant benefits.
The black chokeberry plant has high concentrations of anthocyanins (1480mg of anthocyanins per 100g of fresh berries) and proanthocyanins. It is considered to have one of the highest values of these compounds recorded among any plant. According to one study, Aronia has one of the highest ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) values ever recorded at 161 micromoles of TE per 100g.

- CellBerry® Research
A published animal study using CellBerry® demonstrated evidence that it reduced body weight gain and abdominal fat, improved metabolic syndrome risk factors in plasma, and modulated multiple signaling pathways related to adipose dysfunction. This study suggests that CellBerry® may be beneficial in preventing or decreasing obesity and metabolic syndrome. Further studies are necessary to evaluate its effects on humans.
