Skin Lightening Effects
- Pineapple Ceramide Extract inhibited melanin production in the three dimensional human skin model, at a similar inhibition rate as 2% ascorbic acid glucoside.
Maintenance of Skin Structure
- Pineapple Ceramide Extract increased the expressions of profilaggrin/filaggrin, transglutaminase-1, laminin-5, collagen-1, which are important proteins for appropriate skin structure and barrier functions. The extract also facilitates proliferation of fibroblast cells to enhance healthy structure of the skin.
Moisturizing Effect

0.5% Pineapple Ceramide Extract containing formulation was applied to the skin for 28 days, and P-P histogram was measured using reflective replica analysis system ASA-03RXD. P-P histogram indicates the distance between skin grooves. Smaller the score becomes, smoother the skin become
