Improvement in Elasticity and Texture of the Skin
- When 0.5% wasabi flavones containing formulation was applied for 4 weeks, significant improvements in both elasticity and texture were observed, when measured using a Triplesence.
Improvement of Deep Wrinkles
- When 0.1% wasabi flavones containing formulation was applied for 12 weeks, significant decrease in the areas of wrinkle was observed, when measured using a reflective replica analysis system ASA-03RXD.

Mode of Action of Isosaponarin on Wrinkle Reduction
- Wasabi flavones increased the mRNA transcription level of TGFß, which induces collagen biosynthesis. Wasabi flavones also increased translation level of proryl-4-hydroxylase, the protein responsible for pro-collagen transcription and collagen maturation. Consequently, it significantly increased the expression of collagen-1 proteins
Isosaponarin enhances the production of pro-collagen by activating the TBR // which is the receptor of TGFR(Transforming Growth Factor-B).
While, Isosaponarin activate Prolyl-4-hydroxylase and enhance the hydroxylation of pro-collagen which is very important for the forming
of the triple-helix structure, the matured form of pro-collagen.
That is the reason why Wasabi Flavone can improve elasticity, texture and wrinkle very efficiently.
